Monthly TBR: March

Hello everyone! Before I get into my TBR, here is a bit of a disclaimer for anyone who finds this post.

I know that very few people read this blog and that this is most likely all for me. If you come across this post, I hope you take some time to look through some of my other posts. I would very much appreciate it.

Now that that’s out of the way, here is my TBR for March:

The Road by Cormac McCarthy (Review)

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini (Review)

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black (Review)

Space Opera by Catherynne Valente (Review)

You Are Here by Jennifer E. Smith (Review)

Cress by Marissa Meyer

Winter by Marissa Meyer

Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

Wings of Ebony by J. Elle (E-Book)

Cozy Case Files by Various Authors (E-Book)

The Infinity Courts by Akemi Dawn Bowman (E-Book)

So, the first four on the list are for reviews here on the blog, while the last three are from NetGalley for me to read on my tablet. I’m excited about all the books I’m going to read this month. I’m going to finish a couple of series in March and April, and that feels amazing. It’s been hard to keep going reading and writing for this blog. My mental illness gets into my head and tells me to stop–it tells me that there’s no reason to keep doing it. It’s taken me a few days to convince myself that this is worth it, even if no one reads it. This blog is for me as much as it is for every person who reads it. I’m also feeling like this is turning into a journal for myself, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing so far. So, if you’re here, thank you so much.

I’m going to need to implement some self-care days so that I can have fewer days without the pressure to finish something. Even reading feels like that these days. These self-care days should have things like video games, spending time outside, and doing some fun dance workouts. I need to be taking care of myself more so that I can continue making these posts and writing my novel and stories. Staying home all the time is tough, so I want to make sure that I come out the other side of this situation with something to show for it. I would prefer that something be a novel or something else to publish. But no matter what, I’ll have this blog.

Not included in this list is the book that I’m reading right now (beginning of the month), which is Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. I asked my boyfriend to pick a book of his that I should read, and he chose this one. He speaks highly of it, and I’ve noticed that Brandon Sanderson is also very popular these days in the bookish communities. I can’t wait to share my feelings about it when I finish it.

As for writing, I’m going to do my best to start re-plotting and writing my novel, since I spent most of February uninspired. Getting started on, and ultimately finishing, this novel will help me feel like I’ve accomplished something amid this pandemic.

I can’t wait to dive into my TBR this month and read some of these amazing books. Let me know what books are on your TBR for March! If we are reading any of the same books, let’s talk about it! Happy March, everyone.
